I am a full-time freelance photographer based out of Los Angeles, specializing in events and editorial photography. I also teach Adobe Photoshop, digital photography & workflow, on a one on one basis .  I was most recently a staff photographer at the Los Angeles Zoo. Though I am no longer staff, I still have a very close relationship with the Zoo and my photography can be seen regularly published in the Zoo Magazine, website and various other marketing materials. Before the Zoo, I was doing research as a Behavioral Primatologist for UCLA at the Vervet Research Colony studying vervet monkey behavior.  And even before that, I was educated in Marine Biology at UCLA.  As you can see, I've had quite an interesting journey to my current life as a photographer.  I had always envisioned myself as a Professor teaching and conducting research at a university, but instead I opted to take a leap of faith and pursue my passion for photography.  I am so happy, glad, and proud that it has become a reality.  If I can say one thing about life, it would be to follow your dreams.  Please enjoy your visit to my website and come back to see what's new!

As the Los Angeles Zoo photographer, I worked for the PR/Marketing department. Here I photographed virtually everything relating to the Zoo. This includes the numerous seasonal events like Boo at the Zoo & Reindeer Romp, fundraising events that usually include special behind the scenes tours with donors, photos for our various publications, and photographs for educational purposes. Being able to photograph these exotic animals in the heart of a big city is true gift. I'm having an absolutely fantastic time at the Zoo and it allows me to combine my love for photography with wildlife and nature.
